Policy on Environmental Safety and Health

Semes Co., Ltd is committed to practicing management priciples that value environmental safety and health and encourages a sustainable society by which we contribute to the rich life of mankind and the preservation of the global environment. As one of the top companies that manufactures key equipment for semiconductor/display front-end and back-end processes, Semes Co., Ltd. considers matters of environmental safety and health as a top priority. As such, we have established policies for specific product activities (development, purchase, assembly, installation, etc.) to ensure a safe working environment.

· Observe and abide by domestic and international laws and agreements related to safety and health, environment, and energy.

· Implement environmental safety and health objectives and detailed action plans - increase stakeholders' satisfaction and improve managment

· Strive for carbon neutrality and climate change by reducing the use of chemicals, energy, and water resources through continuous investment, process improvement, and introduction of optimal technologies, and actively practicing wastewater, waste reuse, and recycling.

· Establish and maintain an efficient environment, safety, and health management system.

· Create a safe working environment in which all employees are actively particpating in by removing hazards in the workplace and listening to employees' opnions

· Evaluate and support suppliers' environmental safety and health management practices to form meaniful business partnerships

· Strive to promote the health of all workers and prevent infectious diseases.

· Disclose important environmental safety and health policies to eduacte employees and implement them within the company

Creating a Safe Workplace

Risk management is a daily routine for which all employees are necouraged to participate in creating safe woking environment.

To prevent serious disasters, we will continue to improve risk factors, comply with environmental safety and health laws,
international standards, and agreements, and establish stronger internal standards and monitor them at all times to avoid missing or violating laws.
In addition, we manage an emergency response system to protect employees and local residents from external risk factors (natural disasters, fires, infectious diseases, etc.) and to maintain business continuity.

Establishing eco-friendly workplace

In order to build a green environmental workplace, we are continuously working to reduce the use of chemicals, energy, and water resources, encourage wastewater reuse and waste recycling, and reduce pollutant and greenhouse gas emissions.
